Melissa House
Fitness Director, BS Exercise Science, HFS, CSCS – Master
Melissa comes to Bainbridge Athletic Club with over ten years of experience in the fitness industry. She is a former Fitness Director with Columbia Athletic Clubs and commercial equipment representative for Life Fitness and Hammer Strength. Melissa was a three-sport collegiate athlete in volleyball, basketball and softball. She holds a B.S. in Exercise Science from Eastern Washington University as well as the HFS and CSCS certifications. Cody Bludorn
BS Kinesiology, HFS – Premier
Cody recently graduated from Western Washington University where he earned his B.S. in Kinesiology. He also holds the HFS ACSM certification and is working on adding the CSCS certification soon. A Bainbridge Island Native, Cody grew up heavily involved in sports. He played Basketball throughout high school and also played Lacrosse throughout his time at college. Cody is currently a coach for the Bainbridge Island High School Lacrosse Program. Maureen Daniels
ACSM-CPT, AFFA Group Exercise Instructor, LeMond Cycle – Premier
A lifelong fitness and sport enthusiast, Maureen has been teaching fitness classes for the last 9 years. Her passion for teaching and helping others achieve their goals is evident in her high energy classes. Maureen is also a proud Cougar with a BA in Communications from Washington State University. “Each woman or man who comes to class is the most important person there. My goal is for each person to come away feeling energized, strong, and empowered”.
Jennifer DiIorio
AFAA-CPT -Premier
Jennifer has been certified to train for more than a year and is working towards her second certification through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). She grew up immersed in the fitness industry, as her mother owned a gym in Idaho. Jennifer has taken her experience as a gymnast and a stay-at-home mom for 11 years to transition back into the fitness industry and make a difference in people’s lives. Jake Kim
M.S., NSCA- CPT, FMS – Expert
Jake has over ten years of experience in the fitness industry. He has worked as a group fitness and boxing instructor, personal trainer and physical education associate for Columbia University, Equinox Fitness and New York Sports Clubs. Jake has also worked with a variety of institutions and social services agencies to help train staff and provide curriculum for physical fitness, motivation and mental health classes. He has a B.A. from Bard College and a M.S. from Columbia University. He holds certifications in boxing, Functional Movement Screening, Russian Kettlebell and Post Pre Natal trainings.

Maggie Miller
PT, CSCS – Master
Maggie has over 20 years experience in orthopedic and sports physical therapy. She earned her Strength and Conditioning Specialist Certification in 2003, a credential which recognizes knowledge and skill in the training of athletes.She has expertise in the prevention of knee injuries in the female athlete and has been a featured speaker at the Washington State Strength and Conditioning Association’s Clinic several times. Maggie’s specialties include core training, injury recovery and prevention, sports specific training, and sports performance enhancement. Maggie offers fee-based group training classes throughout the year which focus on these topics. Jennifer Olsen
B.S. Exercise Science, ACE-CPT – Expert
Jennifer Olsen is returning to the fitness industry after 11 years of being at home with her three boys. She has a B.S. in Exercise Science and Sports Medicine and holds a personal training certification from ACE. Her recent continuing education workshops have included lifestyle and weight loss management, “Training the Joe’s like the Pros”, Bootcamp, and recently a class called Integrated Fitness Training. Jennifer loves to cook, play outside with her children, work with her hands, and travel.
“My approach to health and fitness is very practical. It is a journey that you maintain through all that life brings to you. I have distilled it down to this mantra, Eat tasty balance meals and my body performance is more important than its shape. “

Ashleigh Wilson
Assistant Fitness Director – BS Kinesiology, FMS – Master
Ashleigh Wilson has dedicated her life to inspiring and motivating others to lead a healthy lifestyle. Upon graduating with honors from the University of Texas with a degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science she served the wellness community through many venues including hospitals, fitness centers, schools and health clubs. Ashleigh has guided hundreds of people across the country to improve their health and fitness by means of fitness training, health assessments, weight-loss seminars, group exercise classes and most recently as an educator. She is successful in developing and implementing wellness plans for general and specialized populations including cardiac rehabilitation and bariatric surgery patients as well as individuals with scoliosis, arthritis, and osteoporosis. She brings an enthusiasm and passion to Bainbridge Athletic Club and hopes to continue to inspire people to move better, feel better and live better.
Outside of the school and health club, Ashleigh enjoys dancing, hiking, softball and writing.

Yasuyo Sousa
ACSM CPT – Premier
Yasuyo was born in Japan and moved to California in 1969. Her father was a 4th degree black belt in karate and trained her for 10 years. She picked up kick boxing again in Colorado where she trained for 6 yrs. Her formal teaching on Bainbridge started at Family Martial Arts where she was sidelined after an injury. She got back to regular exercise when she joined BAC in 2005 and started cycle classes. She loved it so much she became a certified cycle instructor through LeMond Fitness and started teaching classes. Shortly after that, she earned a Group Exercise Instructor certification through AFAA. If that wasn’t enough, she also went and earned her Personal Trainer certification through ACSM (ACSM-CPT). Yasuyo is available for personal martial arts instruction as well as general personal training.
