Junior Tennis

The Bainbridge Athletic Club Junior Tennis Program develops young players who can enjoy the game for a lifetime. Players in each level develop skills through various methods from fun games to challenging drills.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Quickstart Tennis is a fun new program endorsed by the USTA. The program's emphasis is on teaching kids to rally the ball over the net, and how to play points and games as soon as possible. Quickstart uses equipment specifically designed to ensure early success.
QUICKSTART FOR MIGHTY MITES
Ages 4-6. In this class we teach the "fun"damentals of tennis! We use the new program from the USTA called Quickstart to introduce children to the sport of a lifetime! Come see what the racquet is all about!
QUICKSTART FOR ROOKIES
Ages 6-9. This exciting class also uses Quickstart and is tailored to age and size utilizing specialized equipment, shorter court dimensions and modified scoring. Proper technique, footwork and rally skills are developed using fun games and drills.
INTERMEDIATES
Ages 18-12. This is a great class to become more comfortable rallying and playing points. We will continue to emphasize proper technique and practice habits. We are looking forward to helping you achieve your goals!
CHALLENGER
Players will begin to play points with a purpose and learn all aspects of scoring including tiebreakers and pro sets. We will be conducting high energy drills and supervise court play with on-court coaching and advice. Everyone in this level should be beginning to play challenger level tournaments and joining a USTA junior team.
JUNIOR ACADEMY
This group of kids are just starting to play USTA tournaments and are getting ready to play middle school or high school tennis. We focus on footwork, match play, and shot execution and patterns. A great way to earn your spot into our next level!
ELITE ACADEMY
By invitation only! This is the highest level of competitive tournament training here at BAC! These players should be very active in USTA tournaments along with high performance training and conditioning. These players must be determined to be the best!
